A benefit of working in international education is the opportunity to work with partners from around the world. In March, we welcomed two delegations from Shandong Province in China and look forward to working on these upcoming ventures together.

Student Spotlight: Ayu Kawashima

Ayu Kawashima, an undergraduate at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan, envisions starting a Model UN team at her university. After completing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Global Seminar, Kawashima is determined to play a role in shaping the future of Japan by promoting SDGs and working toward a more equal society. 

UC Davis English for High School Students

International Programs at UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education has established the first partnership of its kind with Kyoto Otani High School in Japan to launch UC Davis English as part of its year-round curriculum to help its students with academic English and academic skills.

Shizuoka Salesio High School comes to UC Davis International English Programs

Traditionally Intensive English Programs (IEP) are for adult learners to advance and accelerate their career through participation in a rigorous English language curriculum. High school students can participate in a similar course of study through “English youth programs.” These programs often balance instruction with other social and cultural components to create a more age-related experience.
