Program Overview
UC Davis is pleased to offer a new pathway program, UC Davis Global Academic Pathway Program (GAPP). GAPP is an intensive two-year program designed for international students who wish to improve their English language and academic skills within a university campus, better prepare for university life, and obtain transferrable credits/units for matriculation into UC Davis, other UC campuses, and/or other U.S. universities.
During the Fall Quarter and Winter Quarter (1st and 2nd academic term), students enter a unique preparatory academic training program)––Academic Engagement Track (AET)––and will take two college/community college courses online per quarter. The four (4) on-campus AET courses will be offered at the UC Davis International Center and the four (4) college courses, Fall and Winter quarter, will be taken online. * Well qualified students may take an additional UC Davis course in the Winter Quarter. Qualification determination shall be made under the discretion of the GAPP staff.
Starting from the Spring Quarter, and every quarter thereafter, students will take AET, College/Community College courses, and a UC Davis course.
After two years, GAPP students will matriculate into UC Davis (or another UC or U.S. university) as junior-level (3rd Year) students, contingent upon meeting the following requirements:
- Successful Program Completion
- Successful Major & Pathway Courses Completion
- Maintain a GPA of 3.3 or Above
Through its strategic partnership with Hearn Education, Diablo Valley College (DVC) and other colleges, UC Davis CPE is pleased to host GAPP students and provide them with high-quality, academic preparation to successfully complete the program. UC Davis CPE is pleased to welcome interested students to the Global Academic Pathway Program.
