UC Davis Brings Custom Organizational Training Overseas
Building on its experience serving organizations across California, UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education is expanding its customized workforce training to international partners.
This winter, UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education will deliver a custom training program overseas, bringing its organizational training expertise directly to an international partner.
The program marks an expansion of UC Davis CPE’s commitment to helping organizations throughout California address workforce needs, strengthen employee capabilities, develop leaders, improve performance and prepare for emerging challenges.
Bringing UC Davis Expertise to International Organizations
We will be taking the university's expertise directly to organizations and professionals worldwide by developing customized educational experiences around their workforce needs. Our first organizational training program abroad will be a leadership and strategy intensive for the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, or KFAS.
The program will be designed to help early-career professionals and emerging managers who are increasingly being asked to take on greater responsibility develop the practical leadership and strategy capabilities they need to succeed. Topics will include communication, coaching, decision-making, resource planning, leading through change, stakeholder alignment, digital transformation and practical applications of AI. The program will adapt examples, cases, exercises and application activities to the participants' professional context and the needs of KFAS. UC Davis faculty and a program manager will travel to Kuwait and deliver the program in person over three consecutive days.

Bringing that expertise overseas through customized professional education allows us to meet partners where they are, respond to their specific needs and build relationships around practical outcomes.”

Recently, when the California Department of Motor Vehicles, or DMV, needed to strengthen their leadership pipeline, UC Davis CPE developed a nine-day training series for 21 midlevel managers. The program helped participants expand their leadership capacity, strengthen critical thinking skills and build cross-departmental connections.
