Program Overview

The Global University Access Program at UC Davis is an intensive two-year program designed for international students who wish to improve their academic and language skills, better prepare for university life and obtain transferrable credits/units for matriculation into UC Davis or another UC campus. Students enter a unique preparatory academic training program, complete a series of on-campus and independent-study online courses at the UC Davis campus, take official UC Davis courses and, upon successful completion of the program and transfer requirements, matriculate into UC Davis (or another UC).

This credit program provides an opportunity to transfer as a junior-level (3rd year) student to UC Davis or another UC. Students are given the opportunity to complete their university major pursuits, develop their English language skills and culturally prepare for their U.S. university life at the UC Davis campus.

The Global University Access Program is offered through a partnership between UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education and SY Academy, a leader in the area of educational access for more than 20 years. Through its strategic partnership with SY Academy, UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education seeks to provide highly qualified international students with a rigorous program of academic English development and upper-division academic preparation. UC Davis Continuing Professional Education and SY Academy are pleased to welcome interested students to the Global University Access Program.
