Student taking a nap at the arboretum

Need a quick snooze? Visit the UC Davis Nap Map!

Good sleeping habits lead to a healthier brain! Scientific studies suggest there is a correlation between a good night sleep and better grades for college students. Don’t let your busy schedule be an excuse not to make sleep a priority. And contrary to popular belief, you can’t make it up later. But taking a nap can help!

UC Davis Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) recognizes that sleeping is essential for college students to lead healthier, happier lives. Taking a 20–30-minute nap can be beneficial as a supplement to getting your 7-9 hours of sleep. It can boost energy and help increase your memory. To help ensure students get the nap they need, SHCS developed the UC Davis Nap Map. The Nap Map will show you the best places around campus to recharge your batteries. Just don’t forget to set up the alarm!
