University Seminar is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to successfully complete university coursework in English. This course will be organized around tasks that incorporate all skill areas: reading, writing, listening and speaking. There will be both individual and small group assignments to facilitate students’ development of communicative success with both classmates and teachers in an undergraduate setting. Students will be expected to be able to read texts on a topic, listen to lectures (both formal and informal) and discuss the topic with classmates. Additionally, students will be expected to observe classes on campus and submit reports of the experience.
