The Division of Continuing and Professional Education at UC Davis manages several of the university’s visiting study and research programs for international students. Our Study and Research Programs partner with more than 60 benchmark universities and government agencies in Asia, Africa, Europe and South America to attract talented students for undergraduate study and research at UC Davis on a non-degree basis.

Global Study Program
Study abroad at UC Davis in a full-immersion academic program designed for visiting undergraduate students from select benchmark overseas partner universities. This short-term study and research program allows international students from partner universities with excellent academics and strong English skills to attend UC Davis classes alongside UC Davis students. Students receive University of California academic credit that contributes toward their own degree program requirements at their home universities.
Global Research Experience in Advanced Technologies (GREAT)
Become a leader on the frontier of global science through an intensive summer research experience for academic credit. Gain research experience in state-of-the-art laboratories under the mentorship of leading UC Davis faculty members in a wide variety of disciplines. Students are matched with UC Davis faculty based upon their preference, faculty availability and the discretion of the program faculty director. Enrollment is limited to students from select partner universities.
