In this course, we will focus on iconic U.S. films to help improve students’ understanding of U.S. culture. Some of the films will look at current issues in the U.S., and others will look at trends in popular culture. We will watch a variety of different types of films (e.g. drama, comedy and/or romantic comedy, action/adventure, science fiction, animation, documentary, etc.), including popular films. Together we will discuss both our interest in these films and the relevance of these films in U.S. culture.
