Comics have recently become popular again in today’s American culture. Though a lot of us have experience reading comics, many of us do not know all of the different kinds of meaning that comics can communicate, through their pictures, text and even the design of the page. This class will focus on analyzing the different ways that comics can communicate with the reader, while also analyzing how comics share cultural meaning and can help us learn the language that Americans use daily.
