In this first course, you will learn to use statistical machine learning techniques to discover patterns in data and to make predictions. The course includes two tasks:
- Use data analytics methods for performing classification to explore the customer churn data collected from historical sales to draw insights and conclusions about customer behavior.
- Use machine learning methods for performing regression to predict which potential new products will be the most profitable for the company to add to its sales mix. The inferences you draw from the patterns in the data will help the business make data-driven decisions about sales and marketing activities.
During these tasks, you will learn to preprocess data for analytics, create machine learning models and evaluate the quality of models.
The course will run from 4:00-6:00PM PT Monday through Friday for four weeks.
